Welcome

I would like this blog to offer advice and insight on how to use the library. I'll provide tips and suggestions on where to find different kinds of information and hopefully, this will help the readers get what they need and also give me suggestions on what worked for them. Let me start with this very provocative video.

There has been a lot of talk about the value of libraries. With the recession, people are realizing that libraries offer more than just books, they off access to information. That's why this video, An Open Letter to Educators, I came across in a blog aimed at School Librarians was so interesting to me. Although it isn't about libraries, it is about how access to information has changed and that means the way people are educated has to change, too.

  1. Access to knowledge is the key to our future. Technology makes access possible. Formal learning isn't confined inside the hallowed walls of academia. With technology formal learning is riding the super highway of the cyber world.
Don't forget the other academic stuff like empowering students to take control of their educational destinies and collaborate with others around the world, etc.
All that is true and is only possible because technology has broken down the brick and mortar walls and loosed the rays of information.

  2. I agree libraries is an important form of accessing information. This is beneficial as you don't actually have to go to a public/private library. As long as you have internet, you can access the available information you need in order to complete certain tasks.
